NOODP Tag rss

Have you ever done a search for your site in Google only to see that it doesn’t have the latest title tag and description for your site? This has happened to me quite a few times and I finally figured out that Google was pulling my site’s title and description from the ODP (Open Directory Project) - in some cases these were severely outdated.

Enter the NoODP meta tag -

Adding this tag in the header of your site will result in google not using the odp tag - problem solved. Google now shows my latest title tag and site description instead of whatever I chose to put back when I was listed in the open directory.
